The IPTV will be available here via Telkom’s new IPTV services coming soonish. Telkom is a world wide MS partner in this IPTV effort… I believe they were picked by MS… One monopoly to another I guess.

I think it’ll be a flash player. So you’ll get choose a link (still controlled by MS, because it’ll be accessible via the Arcade Blade), and the swf file will get downloaded and run from cache. (Well that’s how i see it working)

It’s a nice touch, and much easier for peeps to get their casual games to run on the xbox. Now what would be nice is if they were to allow you to play an arbitrary swf file off a USB mem stick (or streamed off your PC)

I’m stoked they’ve finally put it in. This looks like an absolutely awesome update.

On the IPTV thing – telkom has run local trials and SDTV will run on a 4Mbps line.

The browser thing seems like a 50/50 split right now.

IPTV is out of the question until ADSL2+ is ready in SA.

Why oh why don’t they give 16:10 support?! There’s so many people gaming on their PC LCD.

IPTV is the thing I am looking forward to the most. It most probably won’t be enabled here though :(

I worry about the web games, I don’t want a web browser on my xbox…

The clan blade looks interesting as well, not sure why you would want it though?
