Not Good, it is being reported that Robbie Bach admitted to the media in a conference call that all Xbox 360’s have a design fault which may cause them to fail.
That would be every single one of them, so that little white box in your lounge that hasn’t given you a day of trouble is really just a ticking time bomb…
It might not fail but the chances are that it will within it’s first two years of life. Thankfully Microsoft has now increased the warranty to 3 years so you are covered but you have to ask how this was possible. They really should have tested it much better.
Robbie Bach stated that this design flaw only surfaced recently but who can really believe that. We have been hearing and reporting about breaking consoles for the last 18 months. They really should have picked this up earlier.

Ah, I own all tree systems! They all have great games. But, my xbox 360 just got the 3 red light error. Even though M$ said they would repair it or give me a referb one in its place, they are ONLY giving people a 90 DAY warranty and thats it plus they will not give me a new 3 year warranty on the referb in case it also gets the 3 red light error down the road… M$ blows!!!!!!!!! I’m selling the referb when I get it back on ebay!! Looks like M$ is a very faulty company!!!

This claim is not substantiated, even though I believe it to be a fact, Microsoft has not anywhere in any news item admitted it.

NO, you are making shit up. I did call in the 800 number to listen to MS analyst call and he said no such thing. He pretty much said what P.M. said to the press. I was looking for some tech details on what is going wrong with it, but it never came down to that.
I am pretty sure that transcript exists of this phone call, just look for it. C’mon you guys, don’t get your info from zeros. And than again, maybe he just did not take his medication that day…

Big problem for BIG MS! Let’s just hope they have tested the repair model properly or this issue will never go away. I’m waiting for my machine to come back from repair after two years of great service. If the repair fixes the problem then great, if not I’ll go buy a core system and slap on my Hard Drive. Still cheaper than buying a PS3. Let’s all remember at least MS have put their hand’s up and admitted the problem and then done something positive to fix it. Not many companies do that ( Sony for one ).
