I love cowboy hats and mark my words that one day I will live in Texas just so that I can wear them without thinking I’m odd…
But back to the matter at hand, a new Gears of War 2 easter egg has been uncovered which slaps a humungous cowboy hat on a corpser and makes it say “YEEEEEEE HAAWWWWW”, now that is just awesome.
To unlock the hats you just have to shoot the three hidden cowboy hats in Rolling Thunder… or if you are lazy like myself you can just follow the embedded video below.
Though it’s a sad state of affairs when a developer needs to announce that an easter egg isn’t bug proof which is the case here.
Dave Nash a level designer at Epic games has come out and said
“The easter egg was added at the height of crunch in order to give the guys & myself a little levity in the midst of some very long days”
So when you see it disappear or float away don’t go logging complaints on the official forums.
