Good news for fans of classic side-scrolling beat ‘em ups. Capcom is porting two of their most classic to PSN and XBLA; the seminal Final Fight, and the equally awesome Magic Sword. Even better is that they’ll be bundled together and billed as “Final Fight: Double Impact”
Ufortunately unlike other Capcom classics like Super Street Fighter 2 and Puzzle fighter they will not be getting a graphical overhaul, instead being emulated versions of the original arcade games. They will include graphical filters though, Like Marvel vs Capcom 2 did as well as a mode that keeps the aspect ratio of the original games, but adds a border that looks like an arcade cabinet, keeping the nostalgia aspect in place.
The best part? Online drop-in/drop-out co-op. Hell yeah!
If you can’t wait to destroy a car, or destroy stuff as Guy or Cody in Super Street fighter IV, perhaps destroying one in Final Fight in the meantime.
