So if you are a marketing department with a little bit of cash and a huge game that you need some viral marketing for what is the best place to go?
Yes, Wikipedia, that awesomely open website that allows anyone to alter anything and the rest of the world will then take it as fact.
Now I am not saying that 2K games approved this vandalism, hell if they were going to do it I would expect a much better job to be honest, but I can assure you that marketing companies all over the world are looking at this thinking
“I should have thought of that”
Unfortunately those wacky guys over at Wiki have already fixed up the page and locked it down to stop any more vandalism, but the Bioshock 2 page is still freely available.
I wonder if Wiki would frown upon you creating a page detailing a previous vandalism of a wiki page?
