i dont think a browser is of much use, just look at the ps3 one

right, i think everyone will agree, that if they did put an internet like browse option for people who want to use it, but then people who don’t want it just simply don’t download it, xbox shouldd put it on the market place thing and get people to download it. Like the wii, you only downloaded it if you wanted it, or unless you just wanted more content. But exactly what everyone wants. So i think everyone would agree that internet explorer or something similar for the xbox would be great. Thats like one of the reasons people choose ps3 over xbox. I’ve experianced both, and i think that ps3 is better because of that and the fact of the better music options and stuff, like the psp menu. But maybe after that big update we had, xbox are thinking about it. I mean, since its made by microsoft i would of thought they would have internet on it for Christs sake.

Personally I think a web browser on a console is a bad idea, it’s not about the choice of whether or not someone wants it either. It’s about allowing unsecured code onto the closed network that is Xbox Live.

Xbox 360 gonna do browser or die soon. wii have one, ps3 as well. I would love to have my xbox browsing and msn video conference with friends using his computer. If its going to happen, its going to happen! On that note xbox live has its own set of code. Microsoft will just own yet another browser. Assuming they do not create there own form of the ‘internet’. Its just too big of a money opportunity for them to pass.

as to those complaining about viruses as the reason not to give us a browser
your talking out your ass, it would depend on much more than just being able to
browse the net
just because you have a browser dosnt mean you have to allow cookies, active x, java
or any of the other vectors… if you just have to be a real dip about it, give us a portal/proxy to surf thru
the time to worry about that kind of thing is when they want to sell developer classes, then all bets are off

As a short time user I would suggest the interface needs some tweaking
When streaming stuff from my pc it should be easy to pause the game and change the play list
Real weak if you ask me, having to close things out to make a quick change some
were else seems a bit DOS ish to me…
