So you have updated your PS3 and you are now seeing that everything is just working a little bit better or are you struggling to find what exactly changed.
Well if you purchased your console locally then the grand total of changes that patch did was nothing… Absolutely nothing… well that is not true it ate some of your bandwidth up. But apart from that nothing.
I couldn’t make this stuff up if I tried. The patch addressed stability and compatibility issues with Japanese and US consoles. Why the rest of the world was also forced to download this patch is a complete mystery.

The updates are the same no matter if its Europe’s or the us update,the difference is where you download it from thats it,and non us,japan had to download it as well as its is released to everyone not region specific.

Yeah but it’s not the right way to do it. Only the machines that need the patch should download the patch. The easiest way to do this is to get a small (100k) download first which checks your machine and then downloads the big one if required.
