The Greatest Game You NEVER played | |

One of my all time favourite games on any platform, has got to be No One Lives Forever. What differentiates it from the endless stream of shooters and wanna-be-stealthy-shooters out there, is the fantastic sense of humour that pervades the entire experience.
You cannot help but laugh out loud while playing the game. Outrageous caricatures of various nations abound, while the inter-NPC conversations provide some of the most hilarious high points seen in any game I’ve ever played.
If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Cate Archer, then please do yourself a favour and buy a copy from somewhere! I’m certain the Lithtech engine will manage just fine on any of today’s PC’s. Eurogamer has got a retrospective look at this fantastic title. Groovy baby!

I agree that this is, indeed, a fantastic and very funny game. However, the title of ‘The Best Game you never Played’ still goes to Ico (PS2) in my very humble opinion.
Back to NOLF though, for a mere £5 in the UK you can pick up a ‘Sold Out’ copy and it will probably be the best fiver you’ve ever spent on a video game.

I still haven’t played Ico or Shadow of the Colossus. It’s like having a hole in your gaming soul. Or so I am told. Dammit.

I thoroughly loved this game, an absolute gem. And NOLF2 was more of the same awesomeness, anyone remember being in the house as a tornado carried it off, all the while being attacked by ninja’s… sooo cool :D
I actually loved these games so much, i almost don’t want to see another sequel, for fear that the original charm and character gets ruined.

Both NOLF titles were awesome. Loved the gameplay and the story.

my favourite memory of NOLF ws the hilarious soundbit when u shot at some of the Moroccans and they exclaimed in a high pitched, utterly contrived accent “Oh my, there are bullets whizzing by my head, and I’m now whizzing in my pants!”
