Everyone has that little thing that just gets on their nerves. For Lazygamer, it’s console installs, but me?- I hate it when developers are too useless to release HD resolution games on an HD console.

It happens here and there but when it happens to a game that’s coming from a top-notch development team, I feel no pity. Take Halo 3 for example, the flagship title and series for Microsoft and the Xbox 360 and Bungie couldn’t even get the damn thing running at 720p.

As you all know, Final Fantasy is coming to both platforms. One of them isn’t going to be running in HD, and that hacks mah goat summin’ fierce.

Which one is going to be the blurry one? Did you guess?

EA are sending out a pretty loud message to Activision that last years Modern Warfare 2 was the last Modern Warfare that they get to do without some serious competition.

The Medal of Honour series has a long and sordid history and as long as we ignore the last one that was released the entire history looks great, but it has never come anywhere near to the graphically glory that these screenshots display.

Some new Alan Wake screenshots have made their way onto the Internet and while they are looking good I am not sure I am really that blown away.

They look really creepy and I have a feeling they have nailed the ambience perfectly but when you look closer I am seeing quite a few jaggies and that’s never good news for publisher released screenshots.

The Last Guardian is an upcoming game that is getting a lot of people very excited for its release.

The previous titles from developer Team ICO really hit a special spot for a lot of gamers and have proven that they can bring a different angle to videogaming experiences. Some new screenshots have been released for the game and are pretty much just high resolutions screens taken from the trailer that you have already seen, but still worth a good look.

It’s kind of taking forever for Diablo III to come out, and I’m starting to get all too used to the idea of just waiting these days.

To make matters even worse, or better (I can’t decide which), a whole bunch of screenshots have just been released to provide further evidence that the game is, in fact, not actually World of Warcraft from an isometric perspective.

The game looks like it’s coming along nicely, and Joystiq have a full gallery for you to check out, so head over there right now and see for yourself.

It’s not often that an overhyped game live up to it’s expectations and it’s even less likely that said game is better than expected. But it looks like God of War III may be one of those special games.

Nick Chester from Destructoid has been given a hands on demonstration of the Titans in God of War 3 in New York and his posting on his experience is something to behold.

THQ has just sent over a whole pile of new Metro 2033 screenshots for us to ogle over.

The screens are showing an incredibly beautiful, in an ugly sort of way, world which looks like it will be a creepy sort of place to move around in.

The screenshot with the dead soldier in the hallway is easily my favourite of the lot, wow that sounds bad.

One of my fondest arcade memories of all time (and the major reason that I was sad that I didn’t own an N64) was the hours and amounts of cash that I pumped into playing NBA Jam Hangtime at the local arcade.

Sure the earlier ones were awesome fun on my Megadrive but Hangtime really hit the money. A new NBA Jam has been announced by EA but sadly, it will only be seeing the light of day on the Nintendo Wii.

I do have a sneaking suspicion that it will eventually land on PSN and Xbox Live as well, and that folks, is a great reason to get excited.

It’s a well known fact that the Xbox 360 version of cross platform titles have consistently been the better quality when it comes to graphical comparisons. This was often down to the fact that the PS3’s anti aliasing ability went missing while the 360 is actually pretty good at it.

Well things may be about to change, Digital Foundry have put up a pretty technical post explaining the new anti-jaggy feature that the PS3 version of Saboteur uses and as you can see from the image above the difference is pretty remarkable.

It also cannot be replicated by the 360 as it is dependent on those extra SPU’s to do the boring work while the GPU does all the fun stuff. If you are technically minded then head on over to to Digital Foundry for all the details else feel free to leave a Xbox 360 sux0rz post after the break.

We haven’t been following the development of Metro 2003 that closely but the story line has always interested me and these new screenshots are looking really good.

The story behind Metro 2033 is that in 2013 an apocalyptic event pretty much destroys humanity and the few survivors are forced under ground as the surface has become a toxic wasteland.

The survivors are forced into the Metro system in Moscow with each group setting up unique ‘towns’ in the Metro stations. You have lived your entire life underground but now you need to make your way over to the other survivors to warn them of an impending doom.

It sort of reminds me of Fallout but in more a FPS way than a RPG way.

We received a Press Release for Avatar’s multiplayer late last week and now that Joystiq has just posted up a video of the action, the timing was just right to post it all up.

The multiplayer pits the Na’vi against the Humans in epic battles which could easily be confused for a game that could be called HaloCraft. I don’t mean that in a bad way. The action looks pretty intense and the inclusion of all sorts of toys (like Mechs) mixed in with the lush environments mean that it might actually be quite a rollercoaster.

I have had a soft spot for the Raskulls ever since I first laid eyes on their character cards and that awesome sense of humour, and the more I see of the upcoming game the more excited I get.

I am envisioning a Castle Crashers / Super Mario Bros clone with a dollop of brand new humour and even more insane multiplayer action.

Destructoid have posted up a huge pile of new screenshots for the upcoming game as well as dropping a hint that they love the game for a reason that they cannot reveal.

My guess is that we are going to see the Destructoid robot in the game on release which wouldn’t be a first as we have seen him in Bomberman before and an aborted attempt at being in Eternity’s Child… before they slammed the game.

The only real complaints about the first Assassin’s Creed were that while the game looked awesome it didn’t have enough diversity in gameplay and became monotonous and boring after a while.

Well Ubisoft have decided that there was something else missing from the first, sex… That’s right that impressive graphical engine is now being utilised to bring us interactive sexy time.
