Crackdown 2 Video Documentary Shows The Awesome Crackdown2vid Lazygamer

Pretty much all of us here at Lazygamer are massive fans of the first Crackdown. What was originally known only as the “Halo 3 Beta” turned out to be an incredibly epic open-world action title that focused on fun more than anything else.

A video documentary for Crackdown 2 is out and it looks like it’s only going to get better. 4 player co-op, new features, 16 player versus multiplayer… it all sounds fantastic.

Hit the jump and see for yourself.

Gamestate Celebrity Co Op – Bongani Njoli: The voice of eTV GameState thumb Lazygamer

I am really enjoying these celebrity co-op’s that Gamestate has been doing recently and this week Grant has pulled an odd one out of the hate in the form of Bongani Njoli.

The extremely distinctive voice behind eTV’s promo’s.

Real Life Portal Gun Is Awesome portalgun Lazygamer

If Monday has been getting you down then I have an awesome video to cheer you up.

A guy finally receives the Portal gun that he had ordered from Aperture Science only to have his office mates show absolutely no interest in what they believe is a fake product. It all starts getting cool (and eventually go all wrong) though when the gun works as planned.

Hit the jump for the full video.

Medal of Honor – Tier One Trailer Looks Fun, Impressive

Medal of Honor Tier One Trailer Looks Fun, Impressive ModernCompany2 Lazygamer

A brand new Medal of Honor has entered the world of YouTwitFace and is actually looking very impressive, especially considering that the last couple of Medal of Honor titles have been nothing particularly special.

In an attempt to win over the market that is currently engrossed in Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2, it looks as though EA have have created somewhat of a blend of the two. Add to that some great looking visuals and we may just have a winner.

The only problem I see is that with Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 already being out there, EA may release Medal of Honor just in time for everyone to be completely sick of the setting/genre.

Besides that, not too shabby I say. Trailer after the jump.

Modern Warfare 2 Map Pack Features 2 Rehashes And A Stupid Price COD4Stimulus Lazygamer

Most of you know that I’m not the biggest fan of Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer anymore, thanks mostly to the constant barrage of glitches, hacks and all around cheap tactics being used all day, everyday.

Details on the exciting new Stimulus map pack have finally been released and I honestly can’t say that it has done anything to make me want to pick the game up and play it again, thanks mostly to a couple of details.

Hit the jump for all the info.

Jason West and Vince Zampella have Hollywood talent agents fighting over them

LazySAGamer - March 15th, 2010 at 8:30 am - 116 Views - One Comment

Jason West Vince Zampella

I’m not sure if it’s a compliment to their development abilities or the fact that they are currently in the mix of the ugliest Soap Opera the gaming industry has ever scene?

But it has been announced that Vince Zampella and Jason West have been picked up by one of the leading Hollywood talent agents, CAA, who fought off interest from another large agency to secure the rights to represent them in future business dealings.

Rumour : Infinity Ward Staffers Staying at Activision HappyMoneyKotick Lazygamer

You’d expect that with unceremonious, but scandalous ousting of Jason West and Vince Zampella, staff at Modern Warfare developers Infinity Ward would be leaving en masse. They’re not though.

The reasons for this – while hardly surprising, considering this is Activision – are still shocking. Hit the jump to read more.

A call to arms – Do videogames cause or lead to violent behaviour? Violence thumb Lazygamer

Quick family history lesson, my sister is an insanely qualified person who is currently lecturing a class on Criminology at a local University.

Every Friday they debate something and juggle the pro’s and con’s from either side (some of the topics are just downright scary and disgusting).

However tomorrow the topic is whether or not videogames are linked to violent behaviour which is where we come in.

Final Fantasy XIII Reviewed – Triskaidekaphobi..wha? Header1 Lazygamer

When the announcement was made that Final Fantasy XIII – once exclusive to the PS3 – was going to make its way to the rival X360 platform, the gaming world was put in to a state of shock.

Now that the first Final Fantasy for this generation of consoles is finally available, lets see if the game itself manages the same effect – or if 13 is indeed an unlucky number.

Pure Football… I’m excited PureFootball thumb Lazygamer

When I received a PR email about Ubisoft releasing a new Football game my first reaction was to ignore it.

No offense to Ubisoft but there is no way they could come into this genre and take on the might of EA’s FIFA series with a first attempt.

But then being the diligent worker that I am I decided to watch the attached video anyway… you have to buy this game.

Gamestate Interview District 9’s Vanessa Haywood

Vanessa Haywood

On this episode of GameState’s celebrity Co-op we see our usual host, Grant Hinds, taking on the beautiful Vanessa Haywood of District 9 fame in a game of Wii boxing.

They chat about a sequel to District 9 along with why the Halo movie hasn’t yet been made.

They also touch on what Vanessa likes to play and what her plans for the future are. It’s well worth watching and it’s great that we have something with a local flavour.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Servers Die, Reset Stats And More

Battlefield Bad Company 2 Servers Die, Reset Stats And More tankcrash Lazygamer

[Update: Since the time of writing, EA has updated us on their blog with details about the server issues, what they are doing about it and who is effected. You can read all about it here .]

Battlefield Bad Company 2 released this week for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and has had a couple of hiccups over its launch weekend.

The online multiplayer servers went down on a few occasions during the weekend, not only leaving gamers without multiplayer, but in certain instances even resetting stats and unlocks back to zero/nothing and didn’t allow some players to gain experience points (this happened to a friend of ours who was playing in our game, so it’s first hand).

Ballmer – More diversity in the Xbox 360 coming down the line

LazySAGamer - March 8th, 2010 at 8:30 am - 184 Views - 8 Comments

Steve Ballmer

The next big thing for Microsoft at the moment is Cloud Computing (which I am not the biggest fan off), but cloud computing really has nothing to do with gaming.

However recently Steve Ballmer was at the University of Washington to give a speech on Cloud Computing and during the Q&A time he had the following to say.
